Straddling the line between restaurant club (complete with DJ and bouncer), Taman Gang resembles a basement Balinese temple where candles flicker, incense smoulders against a backdrop of stone-tiled walls & bronze Buddhas. It’s a cool place for a cocktail (try the rose-petal martini) and is also a date hotspot – the atmosphere is the ultimate draw as well as the pan-Asian sharing dishes. Starters such as beef & foie gras gyoza, & crispy aromatic duck rolls, can lack panache, although red-hot prawn dumplings, Korean bulgogi beef, & lightly honeyed black cod with miso & mirin, show more skill. New ownership & a new direction have brought a 3am licence & club nights allowing the in-crowd to move in to this exotic venue. Defiantely worth a look!

Sometimes it’s jazzy, sometimes soulful, sometimes Hip Hop but always funky. With this foundation, his extremely varied collaborations have include All Saints,The Saturdays, Randy Crawford, Justin Timberlake, Darkman, Mary J. Blige, D’Influence and Pasadenas.

In September 2009 London Fashion Week will play host to the second part of the ‘25 Years of British Fashion’ celebrations, celebrating 25 years of the British Fashion Council and 25 Years of London Fashion Week. London Fashion Week will also be relocating to it’s new home, Somerset House.
The past 25 years has seen London earn its place as one of the four leading fashion capitals alongside New York, Milan and Paris. Known for cutting edge fashion and giving a platform for emerging designers to grow and develop, London Fashion Week continues to showcase exciting talent.
25 years ago ground-breaking designers included Paul Smith, Vivienne Westwood and Betty Jackson; the 90s saw John Galliano, Alexander McQueen and Hussein Chalayan launch their careers; today London Fashion Week showcases iconic designers and brands as well as championing new stars such as Giles, Erdem, Christopher Kane, Marios Schwab and Louise Goldin.

Plus either the chance to receive style advise (Friday September 18th only) OR chance to view the London Fashion Week static exhibition (Monday September 21st & Tuesday September 22nd).
